In a Nutshell

Cloudwith.me is a hosting solution for businesses that have outgrown their shared hosting and need something bigger and better. With Cloudwith.me, businesses can seamlessly migrate to the cloud in only a few easy steps, using blockchain technology. Users contribute their unused storage to the “cloud pool” creating what the company calls a “supercloud,” and in return they are given tokens which can be used to purchase other cloud services.

The idea behind Cloudwith.me is to create a decentralized peer-to-peer cloud-based system run by the community itself. Want to learn more? Let’s take a closer look.

cPanel Ease of Use

It works with Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and Amazon Web Services

Cloudwith.me has a simple, easy-on-the-eyes dashboard that any novice should be able to navigate. Setting up your Cloudwith.me account is a matter of a series of clicks that the website walks you through. This includes selecting the add-ons and server type and operating system you want.

If you do have any issues setting up shop and running your account, you can turn to the Cloudwith.me blog or customer service online email window.

By keeping things simple, Cloudwith.me gives the average business a lot more time to focus on running their business. No need to invest in third-party IT services or add to payroll with a web manager or in-house IT tech. Any business owner, no matter how limited the tech knowledge, can setup and manage their account on the fly.

Pricing

When signing up for a plan with Cloudwith.me, all you do is select your cloud provider—Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, or Amazon Web Services—enter your domain name, select your server type and region, and then the 2 free add-ons you want. If you want more add-ons, they start at $7 each per month.

The pricing levels are straightforward and vary depending on your cloud provider:

With the cheapest plan running $40 per month, Cloudwith.me is significantly more expensive than a number of competing companies, but you do get managed services and the setup is quite easy.

Shared, Dedicated or VPS Hosting? Cloud Computing Trumps All 3

Most hosting companies offer plans that include shared, dedicated, and/or VPS hosting. With Cloudwith.me however, you are provided with hosting in the cloud from users, giving you redundant server space that is pooled together without any specific centralized servers. These users can then receive “cloud tokens,” a new cryptocurrency created by the company which can be used to buy web services. The company says the point is to create a “decentralized peer-to-peer cloud-based ecosystem” which will allow potentially millions of users to share and operate the cloud service in a secure and private environment.

In Cloudwithme.’s white paper, the company says it has 3 main objectives:

  1. To decentralize the provisioning of cloud services by using blockchain-based peer-to-peer infrastructure.

  2. To simplify professional cloud services by making them universally accessible.

  3. To monetize the new decentralized cloud services ecosystem with a dedicated cryptocurrency (the cloud token).

With this setup, you can add devices and users to the network as you please, “with a blockchain acting within the business or between affiliates,” according to the white paper.

The company states that this decentralized hosting will make it more affordable and accessible to users worldwide.

Conclusion

Cloudwith.me has created a potentially game-changing platform for web hosting, based on using blockchain technology and a special cryptocurrency developed by the company. The platform is still relatively new, but with the ease of use, simple dashboard, and managed hosting, it has the potential to be a major player in the web hosting industry.
